FAQ
1) What is deep cleaning and its benefits?
Our mattresses and furniture may seem clean on the surface, but it contains microscopic particles harmful to our health. These include dirt, dust mites, harmful allergens and bacteria, among others. Enviclean deep cleans through the use of specialized industrial grade hot water extraction machine to penetrate deep into the fibres of your mattresses and furniture to kill and remove up to 99% of bacteria, dustmites, dander as well as harmful allergens.
Regular maintenance can also help to extend the lifespan of your mattresses and furniture, which deteriorates over time as a result of accumulation of dirt, dust, dead skins/flakes due to a lack of routine cleaning.
Regular cleaning sessions also help to prevent stains sitting on the surface of your furniture from becoming stubborn and hard to remove. Stubborn stains may also result in the discolouration of your furniture.
2) How often should you deep clean your mattress and sofa?
Ideally, it is recommended that you should deep clean your mattress and sofa once every four to six months. This is because dust mites feed on the dead skin flakes and cells that we shed daily and thrive in warm and humid environments especially in Singapore.
For both parents and pawrents, we highly recommend increasing the frequency to once every three months to provide the most hygienic environment for your little ones and pets.
3) I vacuum my mattress and sofa regularly. Do I still require deep cleaning?
Yes.
Most traditional household or commercial cleaning machines are unable to kill and remove the highly resilient dust mites and other harmful allergens which are deeply embedded in the mattress and furniture.
4) How long does the deep cleaning process take?
It varies depending on the size and the condition of your mattress and furniture. Typically, it takes approximately 25-30 minutes for a queen-sized mattress and 45 minutes for a 3-seater sofa.
5) Can the deep cleaning remove all stains?
Depending on the condition of the mattress/sofa, please note that not all stains can be completely removed. How well the stains can be removed depends on the nature and duration of the stains, as well as the material of the fabric. Our team will definitely do our best to remove/lighten the stains!
We use organic shampoo to try and remove the stains. The deep cleaning also includes a deep polishing to break down and loosen the stains to help remove them.
6) How long does it take for my items to dry after the deep cleaning?
The deep cleaning process involves water and cleaning shampoo being injected into the mattress and furniture for a deep clean. It requires an average of 4-5* hours of drying. We recommend turning on the aircon, fan or both to dry the items after the deep cleaning session.
*Drying time also varies depending on the item, humidity of the environment, and strength of your appliance.
7) Is the cleaning service/chemicals used harmful to kids and pets?
Our cleaning agents are specially sourced to ensure that it is safe for children, pets and even for those with sensitive skin!
